The Breakaway is a custom built 28' Topaz Makaira Express powered by twin 200hp Volvo Turbo Diesels. The Breakaway has a 24 Knot cruising speed and will top out at over 30 Knots giving you more fishing time and less drive time. This boat was designed for serious fishing with an extermely large cockpit and a 10'3" beam overcrowding at the rail is never a problem. The Breakaway is also equipped with state of the art electronics both at the helm and in the tower allowing our captains to find you more fish both inshore and offshore. The tower also provides an excellent video taping platform for those once in a lifetime moments that would otherwise be missed in the cockpit. Both of our Captains have USCG Masters licenses and a vast knowledge of southern Californias waters to ensure both safety and enjoyment on every trip we run. We also offer tutorial charters for anglers who already have their own boats and would like to learn the "tricks of the trade" to catch more fish on their own boats
